How to Build Your List of Customers For Free Starting Today?

Having a great looking website is not quite as important as you might the think! That is because the MOST important requirement to having a successful business online is being able to build a list of highly targeted traffic to visit your website.

Quite simply, no list equals no customers to sell to. I have heard of so many people who spend a huge amount of time and energy in developing their website so that it looks fantastic, but who fail to generate enough interest that they do not get prospective customers to look at it!

So, just how do you get to build your list of customers quickly and at zero cost?

Well, you will be pleased to know that there are many ways in which you can do this. Some are free and others you can pay for such as PPC advertising (pay per click).

But, in this article we are just going to focus on just a few of the FREE ways in which you can get a stampede of traffic to your website.

1) You can register your website with the major search engines such as google and yahoo etc and get it listed in their search engine indexing. (This element is free, whereas, by definition, pay per click has to be paid for.)

2) Social bookmarking forums - this means sharing favourite sites and discovering much more good stuff by working together as a community instead of on your own. Check out what it is people are asking about in your particular subject area. Do a little research and provide them with the answer to their problems. Once again, you will have gained more customers for life.

3) Social networking - this means writing a few simple articles about your product, your service or your website and post some interesting things to say about them that sparks enough interest to your readers that they will want to find out more and click on your website.

4) Blogging - another great free way to get prospects. Did you know that blogs get more hits than regular websites!
Post a blog and pose some questions at the end of it. This will encourage readers to respond and from here you can build a highly targeted business relationship with them

5) Write a press release about your offer. And no, you don't need to be a journalist to write an article for a newspaper. Simply send your article to a number of newspapers and relevant magazines.
Remember not to make it hard sell, just an informative piece of work that shows your web address at the end advising the readers where they can get further information. Simple, and again at no cost, it's free advertising for you and a free useful information feature for the paper or magazine

These are just a few examples of how you can go about getting free traffic to your website and building that all important list of customers.
