Secret #1:
You need to think in terms of investing and not budgeting. When you are starting out you want to test a traffic source with some money and see how much you make in return off that investment. So if your going to invest $1,000 and a month later you have $3,000 in new sales, you have made $3 for every $1 you invest in your business.
Now the question becomes how many times every month can I invest $1 and get $3 back in new sales? And your new goal is to find as many place as humanly possible where you can spend $1 to get $3 back.
This is a lot different then the mentality of how cheap can I get traffic on Adwords, banner advertising or whatever else.
Secret #2:
Spend money to lose money on acquiring customers. I actually lose money when people buy my products! So how do I make money then?
When people buy from me, they get into my membership program and that is how I make my money back. The same should go for you - if you can out spend your competition, you will get better traffic and they won't be able to compete with you. And you win cause you get more money from other product sources.
