Various Free Methods of Building Your Website Traffic

If you have been doing internet marketing for quite some time, then chances are you already familiar the common methods of driving traffic to a website.

Below we shall discuss some of the more common ways of attracting traffic to your website.

i) Article marketing

This is by far one of the methods that I like best. It is a free method but it can be as effective as other paid methods. One thing to take note is that it takes longer time to see the results of this sort of traffic.

ii) Forum posting

This is also another free method to generate traffic to your website. However, it requires you to spend a lot of time posting at the forums in order to maintain the minimum volume of traffic.

If you think this is the method that you prefer, then you should look for forums that allow you to post your link at your signature. Some forums do not allow signature in order to avoid spamming.

iii) Blog comments

This is another effective method to build your website traffic. How does this work? Firstly, you have to look for blogs that have similar theme to your website and post your constructive comments on the blog. Thereafter you leave your website address immediately after posting the comment.

The pitfall of this type of method is that majority of your comments will be deleted by the blog owners.

Other methods to build your website traffic include submission of website to search engine and social book-marketing sites. Both are equally effective as compared to the above-mentioned methods.

Hi,

One way of getting consistent and free website traffic, is to apply sound SEO or search engine optimisation principles when designing and building your webpages for your website. Such principles involve having appropriate title tags, meta tags, keyword tags, and meaningful keywords in your body text.
