This is one of the biggest questions on every website owner's mind. What does it take for me to get good search engine traffic? Well on-page SEO is a great start, and there are lots of other search engine optimization techniques that could work of course. But one of the easiest and often most overlooked is article submissions to article directories. Does it really work? I can tell you from personal experience that it really does work!
You're probably wondering how it works right? It's actually a pretty simple idea, you write articles, submit them to article directories and then they market the articles for you! Pretty simple, eh? To begin you want to write articles on topics that you already know a lot about, ideally these topics should be related to the topic of your website that you are trying to sell your products on. Include a link at the end of your article to your website main page, a sign-up page or an opt-in newsletter page.
How do I find article directories?
This is simple. There are plenty of them and by doing a simple search on Google, Yahoo or Bing you can easily find complete lists of them. Ideally you want to submit your articles to the directories so you can get as much exposure (website traffic) as possible.
Article Titles: This is important; you want to pick a title that has not been used yet. So that when you search for your specific article title nothing shows up. This allows you to track the propagation of your article on the internet.
What happens after I submit the article?
The directory uses a human editor to approve your article. Once the article is approved the directory publishes your article for the world to find! Then, most directories use an RSS feed system that sends your article out to hundreds and thousands of blogs and websites. Your article is then published on those sites with the backlink to your website! Search engines then see your site is very popular and traffic starts flowing in.
This takes nothing but some time, as it is completely free and the results can be astounding. So get to it! This article only took me 25 minutes to write, how long will it take you? Regular quality publication of your articles can result in some really great traffic for you.
