1. Write an eBook or a "special report."
Even though much of the information contained in eBooks and "special reports" can be obtained through a few clicks through Google or another search engine, these types of packaged content have appeal with website visitors. Try creating a short report or eBook and submitting it to several popular content directories. Then add a link to your site where people can click to learn more. Free reports and eBooks are especially effective at generating traffic to a site.
2. Start writing testimonials about your favorite (or the most popular) products.
Here's an easy way to get your link on tons of popular sites - start submitting gushing testimonials. If you send a website owner a favorable review of his or her product, that testimonial is likely to land on the website somewhere. Include your link with the testimonial and create great inbound links fast.
3. Become a master article marketer.
Start writing short articles about topics in your field. Then submit these short pieces to article directories on the Web. Other website owners might choose to publish your article on their page, and many of these directories have large followings themselves. The more articles you submit, the better.
